Photo of the Day: Baby Green Iguana in San Ignacio, Belize

Baby green iguana perched on my hand

Last week I was on a press trip for the BETEX Tourism Expo in Belize and our last stop was the Iguana Project at the San Ignacio Resort Hotel. This little guy was perched on my arm and I lucked out by getting a great shot of him close up (not an easy feat with a heavy DSLR and one hand). Be on the lookout for a future blog post….there are photos of me COVERED in baby green iguanas. One way to get over my fear of reptiles I suppose, although I swear I still feel their little claws running across my neck and shoulders today!

That is an awesome shot.  His tongue is so cute.  But, yeah, those claws look sharp!
