One of the most well-known sights of Latvia is the “Cat Roof” in the capital city of Riga. It’s a medieval style building and features two cats with their backs arched and their tails raised. Rumor has it the owner of the house wanted the cats’ tails to face the nearby house of the Great Guild, as he had a problem with some of its members. Later, the cats were ordered to be turned so they face the guild building now.
