Luxury Hotels in St. Louis, Missouri

While St. Louis might not be the first US destination that pops into your head when you think of luxury weekend destinations, the area has a number of luxury hotels, restaurants, spas, and activities to plan a high-end getaway.

The Ritz-Carlton St. Louis

When searching lodging options, be sure to include hotels in Clayton, Missouri.  Clayton borders St. Louis and is home to The Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis, one of the best luxury hotels in the St. Louis area. Enjoy the signature The Ritz-Carlton touches you’ve come to love with the brand, including the marble bath, high-end linens, and plush robes.

One of the things I love most about The Ritz-Carlton brand is the unique touches you find at each of the properties. The St. Louis hotel claims to be the only place in St. Louis where you can enjoy traditional afternoon high tea. The high tea is only available on Saturday, and advance reservations are required. And, once the sun goes down, the hotel Lobby Bar comes to life. Enjoy fresh sushi, over 200 martinis, and even Argentine tango lessons on Sunday evenings. Don’t miss the private Cigar bar and the dine-in wine cellar, featuring over 7,000 bottles.

Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis

The Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis is the city’s first AAA Five Diamond hotel. Rooms feature floor to ceiling windows, offering views of the city and Gateway Arch. The hotel has a seven-million-dollar modern art collection, a 40 foot chandelier and a three story glass staircase. For more art, head to the two nearby outdoor sculpture parks. True to the Four Seasons brand, there are a number of exclusive experiences available, including a private fireworks show over the Gateway arch, customized just for you.

Chase Park Plaza Hotel

The Chase Park Plaza Hotel is a St. Louis icon, with the Chase Park Cinemas (formerly the Chase Club) playing host to a number of celebrities like Bob Hope, Dean Martin, and Frank Sinatra up on stage. The hotel offers elegantly appointed rooms and suites, and includes a number of dining options right on-site. The Chase Park Plaza Hotel still brings in a number of VIP travelers, including George Clooney when he was in town filming Up in the Air.

Westin St. Louis

The upscale Westin St. Louis is conveniently located near the Ballpark and the Gateway Arch. Other nearby attractions include Anheuser-Busch Brewery, the Old Courthouse, and more. The Westin St. Louis has rolled out the Westin Well-Being Movement, a global property initiative that is meant to inspire guests to live a better life. The six pillars of well-being are covered: sleep well, eat well, move well, feel well, work well, and play well.

Hilton St. Louis Ballpark

The Hilton St. Louis Ballpark hits a home run with both the luxury traveler and the sports fan. Not only is it a short distance from Busch Stadium, the 360 rooftop bar offers direct views right into the stadium. Stay during a game and you’ll see the hotel turn into a Cardinals fan hotspot. Many rooms feature views of the ballpark and St. Louis Arch as well. Splurge for an Executive Level room to gain access to the private 22nd floor concierge lounge.
