Photo of the Day: Giuseppe Verdi Birth Home in Le Roncole, or Roncole Verdi, Italy
One of the stops we made this week on our BlogVille trip here in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy was a small village called Le Roncole. Today it is known as Roncole Verdi in honor of the great composer, Giuseppe Verdi, who was born in Roncole. Verdi was a 19th century icon and many of his opera compositions are utilized in theaters around the world.
I am currently in Bologna, Italy as one of the bloggers taking part in the BlogVille project, sponsored by the Emilia Romagna Tourism Board.
