Right now, I am in Japan to cover the upcoming Halloween events starting at Tokyo Disney on Friday. I arrived a few days early to start photographing some of the park decor while it’s a bit more quiet. Once the events kick tomorrow, both Disneyland and DisneySea will be chaotic to say the least. DisneySea is the newer of the two theme parks at the Tokyo Disney Resort and in fact celebrated its 11th Anniversary on September 4.
One of my favorite spots in Tokyo DisneySea is the Mediterranean Harbor as it’s tranquil, even on the busiest of days. Looking back towards the entrance of the park, you see the Hotel MiraCosta, which is actually inside the theme park itself. For the record, I have not stayed there yet as rooms tend to run over $1,000 US a night!
I snapped this shot last night as the sun was starting to set and people were beginning to seek out spots to catch the nighttime show, Fantasmic!, which is still one of the newest additions to the resort.
