One of the best things during my brief stay in Cairo was the breakfast. Would you believe this photo depicts an order for one? Thankfully our butler had warned us that breakfast was huge and one order could easily be shared by two people. This particular one was my probably my favorite meal during a week in Egypt — especially the fresh cheese, hummus, and ful medames (basically stewed fava beans with olive oil, cumin, garlic and lemon juice.)
